Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions on the ordering process. If you have a query that is not shown here, or you need further clarification or advice on selecting a product, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Q. How can I place an order?
A. You can place an order by registering on the site and ordering via the secure form. Alternatively, you can telephone us with your order and credit or debit card details on 01793 765071 between 10am and 5pm GMT Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm GMT on Saturdays. Q. Is it safe to order online?
A. Our online ordering system has 128 bit Secure Socket Layering security to give you the highest level of protection possible. The SSL protects data transferred over http using encryption enabled by a server’s SSL Certificate. You will see that all pages where you are required to give confidential information have a small padlock visible in the bottom corner to show that the page is secure. Our service is independently accredited by the shopping directory ShopSafe.
Secure Payments – with Sagepay Maintaining your privacy is a priority which is why we use Sage Pay (formerly Protx), a third party payment specialist. They are the largest independent payment processor in the UK and are compliant to the highest level in payment card industry data security standards (PCI DSS). So you can be assured that all the information you enter is safe and secure.
Card Security. We won’t capture or store your card details and once you have entered your card number into a payment page securely hosted by Sage Pay, all sensitive data is encrypted and sent to the banks for processing.
Once your transaction has been submitted, you will be automatically redirected back to our site where you will receive a confirmation regarding your order.
Through Sage Pay, we have also enabled 3D Secure (Verified by Visa and SecureCode by MasterCard). This is an additional check to confirm no one but you is using your card. This box will appear and ask you to enter a selection of characters from your password e.g. first, third and fifth character. For your own security we encourage you to use this facility. If you have not ordered from us before it is a requirement that you use 3D Secure.
Q. How do I add or remove products from my basket?
A. Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and then to add a product to your basket put the number you require in the quantity box and click on the ‘Add to Basket’ button. To take a product out of the basket then go to the shopping basket page and click on the ‘remove’ icon to the right of the sub-total. To change the quantity then go to the shopping basket page and amend the number, then click ‘Update Shopping Cart’. You can then either click the ‘Continue’ button to carry on browsing the shop, or click the ‘Proceed to checkout’ button.
Q. How do I check out?
A. When you are on the ‘Shopping Basket’ page and you click ‘Proceed to checkout’ if you are not already logged in you will be taken to the ‘Sign In’ page. Once logged in you will then be taken through the Purchase Procedure step by step. Any comments about your order, e.g. special instructions regarding delivery, can be entered at this stage. Please note, that if you have a promotional code you should check out the terms and conditions for its use and these can be found on the Delivery page.
Q. What are the charges for shipping?
A. You can find details of shipping charges, terms and conditions by clicking on the ‘Delivery’ button in the Information bar at the top of the page.
Q. How long will it take to receive my order?
A. For orders received before midday we endeavour to despatch on the same day, providing the product(s) required is in stock. Please note that any mail orders received after 12 noon on a Friday will not be despatched until the following Tuesday. There are no despatches made on Bank Holidays.
We normally use Parcelforce 48 or Royal Mail for all UK parcels. Parcelforce 48 service takes two working days for delivery (not counting the day of despatch), and Parcelforce do not deliver at weekends. If you require a 24 hour or timed delivery delivery then please choose the relevant option at checkout. Deliveries to the Highlands and Islands usually take a day longer than deliveries to mainland UK. For deliveries outside the UK, Parcelforce or Royal Mail aim to deliver to European destinations in three to six working days, and to other regions in one to two weeks.
Q. I've moved house, how do I change my address details?
A. Sign in as normal and when at 'Your Account' page click on ‘Address book’ and you will be able to edit any address details there. You can change your invoice address, as well as store multiple delivery addresses.
Q. Can I add a message if I am sending an item as a gift?
A. Yes – you can add a gift message in the ‘Add comments about your order’ box as you go through the Purchase Procedure.
Q. I can’t see the bottle I’m interested in – can you order it for me?
A. If there is something in particular that you are looking for then contact us and we’ll let you know if we are able to obtain it for you.
