Whether you’re new to whisky or have been enjoying it’s pleasures for many years, coming along to a whisky tasting is the perfect opportunity to explore new drams, find out more about the distilleries who produce them, the people involved in making them and the stories that bring a whisky to life.
We hold regular whisky tastings at Stanton House Hotel (www.stantonhouse.co.uk) every two or three months and these are usually presented by distillery or brand ambassadors, or other whisky industry figures. The people who attend the tastings are a mix of ages and knowledge levels – the one thing they have in common is their love of whisky! The tastings provide an informative and entertaining evening for everyone, and have proved extremely popular. They are a fairly relaxed sort of event but at the same time are a great way to learn about whisky and meet some of the people who are involved in its production.
If you are interested in coming along to a future event the best way to be kept informed is to register on the website to receive our newsletter – that way you will hear as soon as possible when the tickets have been released (and believe me, the tickets for these events sell out very quickly!).
Alternatively, if you can get a group of around 12 people together who are interested in whisky and provide a suitable venue we can come along to present a tasting for you. The tasting can be on a theme (e.g. A trip round the regions; Whisk(e)y from different countries etc) and pricing is tailored according to what you require – for example, if you want to include some old/rare whiskies this would incur extra cost but means you get to try something you might not be able to afford individually…
